Men’s First Team: Michael Roxburgh
VUWAFC is delighted to have Mike Roxburgh (Roxy) return for another season with the men’s first team. Roxy joined us in 2022 and is a popular presence amongst the team. Roxy will be looking to push on with the squad as they take on a new season in Capital Premier in 2025.
We look forward to working with Roxy for another season!
Men’s Reserve Team: Michael Roberts
We welcome Michael Roberts back to the Men’s Reserve Team Head Coach role. A long time standing and valued club member, Robbo coached the Reserves alongside Simon Davies for the last 2 seasons, who is taking a step back. The season will present a new challenge as the reserves move up to Capital 2 following promotion last season.
Women’s First Team: Bill Robertson (Head Coach) and Millie Lynskey
VUWAFC is delighted to announce Bill Robertson as our new Women’s First Team Head Coach. Bill is an experienced coach who last worked with Waterside Karori, leading their first team into W-League (now Central League) and establishing them there. Bill follows a continental philosphy to football, and has a passion for developing the “thinking player”.
Bill will be assisted by Milliw Lysnkey. Millie was part of Bill’s squad at Karori and was our first team Assistant Coach last season. We look forward to their work together to Millie’s continued development as a coach.
Women’s Reserve Team: Alex Brodie and Ashad Langdana (Co-Coaches)
Our Women’s Reserves will be led by Alex Brodie and Ashad. Alex has an extensive history of coaching with the club, having previously coached the Women’s First Team and Reserve Team. After taking a year off coaching, Alex returned to the bench with Ashad and led the Victoria University of Wellington Women’s side to the UTSNZ National Title and University World Cup Playoff against the University of Sydney. Ashad also co-coached the Women’s Reserves last season and we can not wait to see what the duo can do with the team back in Capital Premier.
